Nea chora is found on the east side of the Old Harbor of Chania and is the closest beach to the center of Chania, where someone can swim. In this region there also are many taverns for those who like dinning close to the sea. Finally at Nea Chora there is the swimming pool of the municipality of Chania, where one can go and swim during the hours that the pool is open for the public(even during the winter).
